Gimhae's edtech company, Minerva Edu, successfully conducted a crowdfunding training program on August 24-25 at the Gimhae Youth Training Center in Jin-Young.

Hosted by the Gimhae Bioindustry Promotion Agency and organized by Minerva Edu, the program aimed to enhance the self-sufficiency of businesses in Gimhae and Jin-Young, supporting local entrepreneurial and funding cultures.

About 20 participants attended the training, including business representatives with crowdfunding experience or those interested in starting their own businesses.

The training featured notable speakers such as Choi Dong-cheol, Vice President of Wadiz; PD Kim Mi-ri; and Woo Chang-seong, former head of the Wadiz PD team.

Vice President Choi introduced the structure, advantages, applications, and necessary policies of crowdfunding, along with successful case studies categorized by theme. Woo focused on practical methods, teaching participants how to plan funding stories, set funding goals, and create compelling content suitable for crowdfunding. PD Kim covered strategies for promoting and advertising crowdfunding campaigns.

Choo Cheol-min, CEO of Minerva Edu, stated, “By simplifying the somewhat unfamiliar concept of crowdfunding for the public, we hope to activate the entrepreneurial spirit among youth and foster self-sustaining businesses. We will continue to support related education and initiatives to strengthen Gimhae’s industrial and economic foundation.”

Minerva Edu specializes in enhancing youth teamwork skills through creative education, robotics, software, AI courses, STEAM integration, project-based learning (PBL) training, certification courses, and competition hosting. They are also expanding their services with "Kkurum-e," an online collaboration tool designed to assist team project activities.
