Gimhae-based edtech company Minerva Edu (CEO Chu Cheol-min) announced that they donated all proceeds from the "2nd Minerva Edu Marketplace" to the Yangsan Childcare Center on the morning of July 7. This event was co-hosted by the Gyeongnam Cultural and Arts Promotion Agency and the Meta Contents Campus Association (MCCA), with Minerva Edu as the organizer.

Minerva Edu, which is expanding its business and activities with its online collaboration tool "Kkurum-e" focused on helping youth team projects, held the marketplace at the Yangsan Future Design Convergence Center on June 25.

The company operates STEAM education centers in both Gimhae and Yangsan and previously donated the full proceeds from its first marketplace in February to the Bangjuwon in Gimhae.

The event featured local youth participating as "vendors," selling various items such as unused toys and handmade crafts at affordable prices to residents.

With around 10 youth vendors and over 70 visitors, the event was a success, generating several hundred thousand won from sales and voluntary donations.

In addition to the proceeds, Minerva Edu prepared school supplies for the children and presented them to the childcare center.

CEO Chu Cheol-min stated, "We aim to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in the children who sold items and to promote a culture of giving and sharing in the community. We hope this donation helps support the operation of the Yangsan Childcare Center." He added, "In addition to flea markets, we will continue organizing events that promote communication and coexistence within the community while leading efforts to achieve sustainable development goals."

The donation ceremony was attended by Yangsan City Council member Kim Ji-won, who toured the facility and promised to identify areas needing improvement and maintenance.

Kim expressed, "I feel sorry that I haven't been able to pay closer attention to the only childcare facility in Yangsan located in Gangseo-dong. I will secure funds as soon as possible to renovate the aging educational space at the facility entrance. I will make sure to frequently visit to ensure the children live in a pleasant and comfortable environment and receive a good education."
