Gimhae-based edtech company Minerva Edu recently operated a free "Robotics, Coding, and Software Instructor Training Program" from July 24 for about a month at the Jinyeong Harmony Town Auditorium, successfully certifying over 20 software instructors.
Hosted by Gimhae City and the Gimhae Bioindustry Promotion Agency, this program aimed to establish a foundation for supplying excellent talent capable of entering the software convergence industry in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It also sought to build and spread the software industry ecosystem while providing local residents with diverse knowledge and experiences.
Twenty-five residents of Gimhae, including career-interrupted women and job seekers, participated in the program, which covered software-related topics such as block coding, robotics, drones, physical computing, and artificial intelligence.
CEO Choo Cheol-min expressed hope that the participants who completed the training would share their knowledge throughout the community, creating a beneficial cycle.
Minerva Edu is a global edtech company focused on enhancing youth team project capabilities through creativity education, robotics, software, AI lectures, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) integrated education, Project-Based Learning (PBL), certification training, and hosting competitions.
